The Orient

All projects supported by A&K Philanthropy were chosen by the local A&K offices. Each project assists the immediate community whether it is associated to health, social, environmental or cultural restoration. As all projects have an element of volunteerism they each bring opportunity for A&K clients and staff to participate in further improving the community. Below are some of the projects AKP has sponsored in the Orient.

Sam's Brothers Clean Water Project
Location: Siam Reap, Cambodia
AKP Support: AKP will assist to provide local communities with equipment to build wells for access to fresh water to improve health and well being.

Grace's Orphanage
Location: Yangon, Myanmar
AKP Support: assist 3 homes established in 1997 to improve the life of abandoned children.

A&K Myanmar Relief Fund
AKP Support: assist the people of Myanmar in the aftermath of Cyclone Nargis. AKP, staff, clients and friends responded quickly to the natural disaster raising over US$340,000 in a matter of weeks following the events. A&K Myanmar staff worked heavily to personally distribute aid.
