South America
All projects supported by A&K Philanthropy were chosen by the local A&K offices. Each project assists the immediate community whether it is associated to health, social, environmental or cultural restoration. As all projects have an element of volunteerism they each bring opportunity for A&K clients and staff to participate in further improving the community. Below are some of the projects AKP has sponsored in South America.
Rapa Nui Archaeology Involvement Program
Location: Easter Island (indigenous name Rapa Nui)
AKP Support: AKP has extended support for this program combining archaeological research, education, and community outreach, training high school student volunteers in archaeological surveys, computers, field research techniques and issues of cultural conservation.
Children of the Rainbow

AKP Support: for a centre of deprived children from the surrounding area, AKP is providing meals, medical care and education to 100 children and a home for 17 rescued children.
AKP will be announcing more projects in South America soon. Watch this space.
